Construction

December 10, 2009

David and I come across an assortment of particleboard strips of varying lengths amassed on a Berlin sidewalk.  We have a vision—one side of a primitive hut.  Who’s this?  A helper! Her name is Grace from Nottingham who studies Costume Design and lives close by.  She’s seen these boards before. Well then join me Grace, pick up these fragments and complete the vision (David embraces the lens).  It’s simple really—align the boards along the existing wall to form an enclosure.  Take that Marc-Antoine Laugier!  Today’s primitive huts are so simple, so social, so…contextual.
